This project focuses on the constructional (including decoration and repair) and medical and agricultural wastes and organizes 30 investigations and on-site examination to understand the status of output and issues. Domestic and foreign systems and used as reference and 7 expert seminars are held for construction, agriculture, and medical administration strategies. The opinions proposed in the seminars are adopted to form various waste management strategies. Strategy for constructional waste administration: establish a system for construction scrap material administration, improve efficiency on small construction site administration, establish “decoration and repair waste administration system”, modify the application form for construction waste disposal, enhance the supervision and control of processing and re-use entities, and coordinate the Ministry of Interiors to continue its guidance on re-use of construction waste. Strategy for agricultural waste administration: review and amend definitions and scope of agricultural wastes, study and amend agricultural waste administration system, establish agricultural waste dump site, study proper self-administration regulations, and effectively control fishing wastes and disposal of oyster shells. Strategy for medical waste administration: review the scope of medical waste administration, consolidate reporting codes, modify reporting system code, increase joint responsibility on small agencies of production source delivery receipts, modify the application form of bio-medical waste disposal, modify the regulations governing bio-medical wastes disposal application, enhance supervision and control on processing and re-use entities, include pricing method in the permit for handling agencies, and coordinate with the Department of Health to continue its guidance on hospitals and re-use agencies. Consolidate the information concerning the category, output volume, handling capacity, and disposal path of construction, agriculture, and medical wastes, and update the website content on “Recycle Green Building Material Information Service”, and “Medical Waste Information” in fiscal 2012.
